Abstract

The conditions of preparation of polymer-protected palladium supported catalysts for hydrogenation of unsaturated alcohols have been studied. It was shown that the most convenient way to obtain low-percentage catalysts is low-temperature consequent adsorption of polymer and then metal on inorganic oxides. The temperature of catalyst preparation have an effect both on the size of formed metal nanoparticles and the catalytic properties. Palladium was reduced into aero-valence state when the preparation was ib the It is shown that in ethanol, in the presence of polybase (polyvinylpyridine), palladium is reduced into zero valence state by the ethanol. The optimum temperature for the catalyst preparation is in the range of 10-20ºC.
