Modified zeolite catalysts for alkylation of benzene with propane
Abstract
A catalyst for the alkylation of benzene with propane was developed, HZSM-5 was modified by platinum responsible for the activation of alkane. During the alkylation process benzene conversion reaches 20%, the yield of propylbenzene reaches 10-15%. The results of physico-chemical methods of investigation showed that the crystalline, surface and acidic characteristics of the developed catalysts are optimal for the alkylation of benzene with propane.References
